About Sonorum Project

We collaborate on individual and group projects—shaped by peer feedback, our Board, and our Club Advisor, Mrs. Barnes—and present at the Winter Sunset Coffee House, the Spring Abbot Cabaret, our own Sonorum event, and online.

Mission

Sonorum covers three major virtues of the non-classical routes at Phillips Academy. The Carmen: the lyricism, the poetic nature of music; the Confectio: the production, the aural theory, the harmonic writings of music; and the Consequentia: the performance art, solo / band performances, the aftermath of writing a song.

We pledge to encompass all genres of music: whether it’s pop, hip-hop, country, or even classical, we are an all-accepting community.

Advisor & Guidance

Our Club Advisor, Mrs. Barnes, helps shape sessions and showcases. The Board facilitates peer feedback and keeps projects moving.
